The Hive at Nenthead is a converted Methodist Chapel (built 1873, renovated and conserved 2017-2019). The cafe is dog friendly and there is a lift to the first floor gallery exhibition space. Meeting rooms are available to hire.

The Nook Farm Shop & Cafe Epiacum Roman Fort, Kirkhaugh, Alston CA9 3BG

We opened in November 2019, next to Epiacum Roman Fort, a couple of miles outside Alston on the A689. We serve and promote local produce, including farm-bred beef and lamb.
